With its spectacular 360-degree panoramic views over Taylor Inlet, the Southern Ocean and magnificent mountain ranges, Maitraya’s Fisherman’s Lodge is the ideal getaway location for families or a group of like-minded friends.
Built on the grounds of the famous Maitraya Retreat, this superbly appointed residence can sleep ten people in absolute comfort and boasts truly special views from every window. As much as you’ll love being indoors, a stay at Fisherman’s Lodge is all about getting out and making the most of your favourite sport activity or hobby.
Visitors to Fisherman’s Lodge have access to a small private boat ramp into Taylor Inlet which contains black bream and numerous other species of fish. Nearby, Nanarup Beach is another favoured fishing spot with salmon, herring, silver bream and trevally – as well as being a locally renowned surfing spot.
Breathtaking
We stayed at the Fisherman's Lodge and we found the views spectacular. The house was presented very well. The house itself was so secluded and relaxing that we hardly ventured out. There was no need to! We did make the short drive to Nanarup Beach which is a great and safe spot for kids to have a swim. Little Beach is not that far away either, but less suitable for small children to swim. On our second day at Fisherman's Lodge we woke up early to watch the sunrise. That was amazing. We also lunched on the deck, which was fantastic. We gave the top floor room to my sister as a birthday present, and she soaked in the tub twice, with the breathtaking view of Taylor's Inlet and the ocean in front of her. We hope to return someday. Worth every cent! Troy and Narelle were great.

You just run out of superlatives here. The privacy is unmatched, anywhere we've stayed. A whole headland and two beaches to yourself. The property is magnificently designed, built and positioned. The master-suite, with uninterrupted views over the ocean, out to the islands, and an auto-sliding roof for star-gazing, just can't be beaten. The indoor pool was excellent for a late swim once the sun had gone down, and a glass of red watching the sunset with kangaroos for company... well, enough said. Spoil yourself !
